Attend the FREE special recycling event hosted by the city's Sustainability and Solid Waste team. Staff will be accepting scrap metal, large appliances, and Styrofoam. Seattle ReCreative will also be accepting donations of arts & crafts items.

Auto parts
Lawn chairs
Water heaters
Lawn mowers (REMOVE oil and fluids)
Bikes
Iron and steel (REMOVE all wheels and nonmetal parts)
❌ NO television sets or computers
❌ NO car chassis
❌ NO refrigerators, dishwashers, or microwaves
✅ STYROFOAM:
Styrofoam peanuts and bubble wrap (Bagged packing peanuts accepted)
Clean white block Styrofoam (Look for #6 or EPS inside the recycle symbol)
❌ NO tape or labels
✅ PLASTIC BAGS:
Grocery bags
Film
Clean food bags
Plastic Amazon envelopes
❌ NO hard plastics
❌ NO tarps
❌ NO toys or totes
🥫 NON-PERISHABLE FOOD donations will be collected at each 2026 recycling event to help Renton neighbors in need. Donations will be provided to the local food bank.
