Join local basket maker, Linda Martin, and learn to turn recycled materials into something beautiful in this creative basket-weaving workshop. Participants will learn simple weaving techniques while transforming items such as recycled paper, abandoned charging cords, shipping straps, and other reclaimed materials into a functional and decorative basket. This hands-on class is perfect for beginners and encourages creativity, sustainability, and resourcefulness. Leave with a unique handmade basket that measures approximately 8"x10" and inspiration for giving everyday materials a second life.
Kids 14 and up are welcome to attend. No previous basket making experience is required. Materials are included in the cost of the class. Feel free to bring any recycled cords, strapping, etc. that you would like to incorporate into your basket.
