About this Event
Summary:
Job burnout poses serious consequences for our health and our careers. The World Health Organization has officially classified burnout as a medical diagnosis - “a syndrome conceptualized as resulting from chronic workplace stress that has not been successfully managed.”
While burnout is a form of stress, it’s important to know the distinction between the two. You can manage stress with certain techniques, but burnout results from cumulative stress that hasn’t been managed. Simply taking a break or working less does not help.
In this workshop, we will review early signs of burnout and strategies for preventing and mitigating employee burnout before it is too late.
Objectives:
- Understand workplace challenges that contribute to employee burnout
- Review strategies for promoting well-being and creating sustainable work
- Discuss what leaders can do to take care of themselves and others
