BRING A BOOK / PAPER + PEN / DRAWING PAD / CRAFT / ETC.

This will be a shut-up-and-write/draw/read as well as rediscover and repair your attention span in the age of short-form video content. Phones will be turned OFF and put in a basket upon arrival to this workshop.

We will use the pomodoro method for structured focus time, then take short breaks in between to briefly discuss how we felt and what our goals are.

During the structured focus time, you can read, write, draw/sketch, work on a craft, or anything else that requires focus.

Can we learn ignore the daily bombardment of instagram reels/tiktok as well as the everpresent need to be "available" via text and social media?

Can we learn to set boundaries for ourselves in a world where it is demanded of us to overshare in social situations and on these social media apps?

Can we REJECT big Tech's influence over us altogether?

Let's go into the new year with at least some aspirations to loosen tech's chokehold on our lives and the perception of our human selves.
