Reclaim Dance Lowkey November Get-Together at couchdate

Hi! November 22nd is our next event.
After our first dance, upon hearing our next event wouldn’t be until February 8th many of you asked “why wait so long?”
To that end, we’ve decided a low-key dance and hang before the holidays might be a thing to connect, share, and build community. And let’s be honest, we could all use
a chance to dance out our grief, disappointment, rage, and anything else you’re feeling post election. And we hope doing it in community will be supportive. Because we’re in this together.
It is a potluck, so bring food, libations to share, and a desire to dance it up! If bringing food is a dealbreaker, there will be a food pop-up at the venue.
So you’re invited!
Date: Friday November 22nd
Time: 7 pm - 11 pm
Venue: 102 Frank Ogawa Plaza, Oakland, CA 94602 at Couchdate
Cost: Donation-based. 50% of all proceeds will go to Sogorea Te’ Land Trust
You can RSVP here: https://partiful.com/e/lbxnddSnV6v9WUBKhcOD

More about our donation recipient Sogorea Te’. Sogorea Te’ Land Trust is an urban Indigenous women-led land trust based in the San Francisco Bay Area that facilitates the return of Indigenous land to Indigenous people. “We envision a Bay Area in which Ohlone language and ceremony are an active, thriving part of the cultural landscape, where Ohlone place names and history is known and recognized and where intertribal Indigenous communities have affordable housing, social services, cultural centers and land to live, work and pray on.”
More about the venue, couchdate. Words from the owners “couchdate (all lowercase) is an archival & restoration project centering Brown & Black perspectives. This is our HiFi Bar + Community Space in Downtown Oakland. We serve cocktails, food, wine, beer, & our community."
