This session will raise questions about the political content of homemade and self-published recipe books, the transmission of family or community traditions, but also feminine and collective authorship.
Félixe KAZI–TANI has worked, among other things, on a collaborative recipe book based on The Whoever said Dykes Can’t Cook Cookbook by Victoria Ramstetter & Maya Contenta (1983 – also see: Qui c’est qu’affortit que les fénarettes savaient pas faire le manger?, Saint-Étienne, Tem-Press, 2024), and Albena SHKODROVA is the author of Rebellious Cooks and Recipe Writing in Communist Bulgaria (London: Bloomsbury, 2021).
