Like many love affairs, this one began with a series of chance encounters. But over the decades, it became increasingly clear that these moments had been fated to ripen into an abiding connection. Using a timeline that allows us to join Lynn in bearing witness to the profound changes—from climate shifts to human adaptation—brought on by gradually increasing storms, floods, and economic changes, Rebuilding the Goat Walk reveals the profound connections between a river, a town, and the individuals who have chosen to make this place their home.
