YOU'RE INVITED: Come experience a moving program of music, spoken word, and dance. You will leave inspired and uplifted. This gathering honors the long-held tradition of our community gathering together in a house of faith to commemorate the life and legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., and recommit to the work of justice and unity. This program is free and open to all. A free-will offering will be received.
COME EXPERIENCE DR. KING'S LEGACY: Hear a dynamic presentation of Dr. King’s words of justice and equality, delivered by a distinguished delegation of area pastors and community leaders, including Pastor Terry Young of St. James AME Zion Church of Allentown, Pastor Brandon Jaye of Grace Deliverance Baptist Church in Bethlehem, Pastor Paul Patrick of Second Baptist Church Bethlehem, Zena Goodwin, Director of Poets for Justice founded in Easton PA, and many others. The program will also include stirring musical selections from a combined choir, consisting of vocalist from several different churches throughout the Lehigh Valley, a moving selection from Soprano Evelyn Stewart, and a keynote address from Reverend Benjamin T. Hailey Sr., Senior Pastor of Union Baptist Church. His address will offer a profound reflection on Dr. King’s enduring legacy and inspire the audience to act boldly in the pursuit of justice.
THE EVENT IS FREE AND OPEN TO ALL: A free-will offering will be received.
