About this Event

Don’t miss this fantastic fantasy fiction panel! Authors Soraya Bouazzaoui, Ellis Hunter, and Holly Race will discuss their new titles: Aicha, an evocative fantasy romance fizzing with female rage and desire; Blood Bound, a magical romantasy with witches and dragon riders competing for magical control; and Six Savage Thrones, the heart-stopping epic fantasy sequel to the instant Sunday Times bestseller Six Wild Crowns - this is the Tudor Queens as you've never seen them before.

About the Authors

Soraya Bouazzaoui is a born and bred London babes raised on Jacqueline Wilson, R.L. Stine and Malorie Blackman. Stories – in all their forms – are a central part of who she is. Soraya’s day job is book editing, and she has also written for publications such as Stylist, Bad Form, Strategist UK, Metro and Aurelia.

Ellis Hunter is the pen name for Katie Ellis-Brown and Becky Hunter, two friends who wanted to write about two friends. Katie Ellis-Brown is an Irish British writer and editor who lives in Cornwall with her husband, daughter, and two familiars (black cats). Becky Hunter is a UK-based author, book publicist, and romance reader who is currently ruled by her two rescue ponies. They met while working in publishing and bonded over their shared obsession with fantasy. Blood Bound is a love letter to the genre and their debut novel.

Holly Race is a novelist and screenwriter, with a particular interest in using fantasy and historical inspiration as springboards to interrogate issues of class, privilege, gender bias and political extremism. Her debut trilogy, the Midnight’s Twins series (Hot Key, 2020), uses Arthurian legend within an urban fantasy setting to explore the ‘culture wars’ that leapt up in the wake of Brexit. Her next trilogy, Queens of Elben is an historical fantasy retelling of the six wives of Henry VIII as envisioned through an intersectional feminist lens. The first book, Six Wild Crowns, explores the stories of Queen Boleyn and Seymour, while book 2, Six Savage Thrones, focuses on Queens Howard and Cleves.
