About this Event
Real-World Skills & Readiness Lab™ : LTC Edition | Part 2
This is not a lecture. This is hands-on, simulation-based clinical training designed for nurses, RPNs, new grads, IENs, and students who want to feel genuinely prepared for the long-term care environment — not just technically trained, but ready.
Whether you're new to LTC, transitioning from another care setting, or an experienced nurse looking to consolidate skills you haven't had enough opportunity to practice — this lab was built for you.
📍 What You'll Practice
- Post-fall management and defensible documentation
- Medic*tion administration under real conditions
- Wound care assessment and hands-on practice
- Clinical decision-making and escalation communication
🧠 How It Works Sessions are delivered in a small-group format at the ND Simulation Centre, using real clinical equipment and scenario-based learning. You won't just watch — you'll do. Every skill is paired with the clinical rationale behind it, so you leave with both the technique and the understanding.
👩⚕️ Your Facilitators Led by Lucy Kpiebewieng, MN, RN, GNC(C) — Registered Nurse, Nursing Faculty, Gerontology-specialized Advanced Practice Nurse Educator, and Founder of Nurse Decoded — alongside Katia Dumay, RPN — Registered Practical Nurse with 16+ years of LTC practice experience.
📋 A Note on Documentation While this session is not an accredited program, a Certificate of Completion is provided to all attendees upon finishing the workshop.
