Journey Home Realty Group is bringing together real estate professionals across San Antonio for a citywide volunteer Bed Build in partnership with Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) San Antonio on February 25th, supporting children who currently do not have a bed of their own. This is a cross-brokerage, industry-wide volunteer event. Agents, lenders, vendors, and partners are all welcome. This is about community, not competition.
The three-hour volunteer build will take place from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM at SHP San Antonio’s facility located at 5536 Business Park, San Antonio, TX 78218.
During the event, volunteers will work side-by-side assembling and finishing beds that will be delivered directly to local families. Each completed bed includes a frame, mattress, pillow, and bedding provided at no cost to recipients.
No construction experience is required. All materials, tools, and safety equipment are provided by SHP San Antonio. Volunteers participate in sanding, assembling, staining, and branding bed frames in a supervised environment.
In addition to volunteering, organizers are accepting optional in-kind donations including new twin bedding, pillows, and construction materials to help expand the impact of the build.
Local real estate professionals, lenders, vendors, and community partners are encouraged to participate.
About Sleep in Heavenly Peace San Antonio:
Sleep in Heavenly Peace is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building and delivering beds to children in need. Their mission ensures that no child sleeps on the floor in our town.
Volunteer attire:
✔ Close-toed shoes required
✔ Work clothes
❌ No loose jewelry
❌ No designer jeans
All volunteers must register through SHP San Antonio’s volunteer system prior to the event.
