A community-based program all about the core and pelvic floor in the peri- and postpartum period .

Did you know that one in four women experience pelvic floor dysfunction (PFD) in their lifetime?
Or that pregnancy and childbirth are two common risk factors for PFD?
Symptoms can include:
- Pelvic organ prolapse; often described as feeling pressure in the lower abdomen or like something falling out of the vagina
- Urinary or fecal incontinence
- Pain during sex
- Perineal tearing
- Diastasis Recti (Ab separation)
When PFD is not timely or adequately addressed, it can have a profoundly negative impact on one's physical, emotional, mental, and financial well-being.
Ready. Set. Birth & Recover! is a progressive six-week therapeutic program designed to help moms support and heal their core and pelvic floor during pregnancy and postpartum to minimize the risk of pelvic floor dysfunction. This workshop offers holistic modalities, strategies, and techniques to heal and optimally strengthen the core and pelvic floor.
If you are pregnant, postpartum (0 - 3 yrs), experiencing urinary leakage, abdominal pain/pressure, or want support preparing or recovering from pregnancy, this is the workshop for you! Topics include:
Week 1: Anatomy & Physiology - Connecting with the breath
Week 2: Self-Assessment of Core and Pelvic Floor
Week 3: Posture, Position, Power for Childbirth and Postpartum Recovery
Week 4: C-Section Scar Management
Week 5: Incontinence Management - Bowel and Bladder Function
Week 6: Reduce & Manage - Pelvic Pain and Pain with Sexual Intercourse
