A preliminary schedule is now available on the conference webpage:
https://www.councilofnsarchives.ca/2024-cnsa-conference/
It will be updated in the coming days, so stay tuned for more details as they're confirmed!
There will also be a hands-on workshop on disaster recovery for archival materials taught by Julia Landry! Julia is a professional conservator specializing in paper-based materials and has worked with member archives all over the province. The workshop will take place on May 16 from 1:30-4:30 pm in the Akins Room.
There are only 20 spots available in the workshop, so if you’d like to participate, please apply here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeitvmRGcKN-6AOw0vVPiBOWcinUEhKA37DraDGSiD8pPS0cg/viewform
Full details about the workshop can be found there, too. Applicants will be notified whether or not they've been chosen on April 26.
And don’t worry: if you aren’t able to participate, there will be some seats around the perimeter of the room for in-person attendees to observe, and folks joining the conference remotely can watch online, too!
This workshop is made possible by funding from the Nova Scotia Department of Communities, Culture, Tourism, and Heritage.
