About the Event:
Back for its second year, Ready for Takeoff is a free, hands-on community event designed to help individuals and families feel more confident navigating the airport experience.
Participants will walk through the full travel journey, from check-in and ticketing to TSA security and arriving at the gate, in a calm, supportive environment. It’s a great opportunity for anyone who may benefit from extra time, guidance, or a practice run before flying.
TUL staff will guide you step by step and share helpful travel tips along the way. You will also learn about the accessibility resources available every day at TUL, including our Hidden Disabilities Lanyard program, Sensory Room, Quiet Room, and more.
While this event is especially helpful for families with loved ones who are neurodivergent or on the autism spectrum, it is open to everyone. The experience also includes a small resource fair featuring local community organizations.

Visitor Pass Required:
All attendees must obtain a TUL Visitor Pass to go through the TSA checkpoint. After registering, you will receive details on how to secure your pass, along with parking information, event logistics, and next steps.
A REAL ID compliant form of identification, such as a REAL ID driver’s license or valid passport, is required to participate, just like when traveling.
