Shelley Getten’s new poetry collection, Of Cows and Crows (Nodin Press 2024) depicts the pain and beauty of coming of age in a rural setting. Shelley was born in St. Cloud, and her family moved to a farm when she was ten. Shelley currently resides near the North Shore of Lake Superior in Two Harbors, where she maintains a writing and printmaking studio beside her log cabin home on the Knife River.
James Lenfesty has had a career in academia, marketing communications and journalism on the editorial board of the StarTribune. James has published fourteen volumes of poems, essays, anthologies and a memoir. In November 2024, Milkweed Editions published his eighth poetry collection: Time Remaining: Body Odes, Praise Songs, Oddities, Amazements.
Philip Bryant a native of Chicago is the author most recently of Messages from the Nile, which was published by Nodin Press in 2024. Four previous collections of poetry include, Blue Island, Sermon on a Perfect Spring Day, Stompin’ at the Grand Terrace: a jazz memoir in verse, with music by Carolyn Wilkins, and The Promised Land. just published by Nodin Press. Phil is professor emeritus at Gustavus Adolphus College, in St. Peter, Minnesota where he lives with his wife Renee.
Claudia May is a poet, an award-winning children’s book author, a storyteller, scholar, Hedgebrook and UC Berkeley alum, and nature lover. Her book of poems, Birthing Butterflies, has been nominated for a 2025 Pushcart Prize and is a finalist in the 2025 Minnesota Book Awards poetry category.**
