About this Event
Join Tephra ICA and exhibiting artist Hong Hong for an intimate conversation about her artwork currently on view in the exhibition . Hong Hong’s work 河/River is her first thematic, research-based project that considers her personal relationship with water. The paper-based installation imagines and presents water as a long-form poem. Structured like reading group, the conversation will be anchored by the text “Translation is a Mode=Translation is an Anti-neocolonial Mode” by Don Mee Choi which is integral to the artists thinking about her piece.Registered attendees will receive a copy of the 10 page text to read in advance of the program and are also invited to bring poems about water to contribute to the conversation.
Free and open to the public.
