Join Dr. Michael Frey, pediatric neuropsychologist, to learn about our current understanding of reading and writing learning disabilities. This presentation will include:

Consideration of previous and current definitions of the disability with discussion of terms including dyslexia, dysgraphia and specific learning disorders.
Instruction regarding the neuroanatomy and neuropsychological functioning of students with these disabilities.
Intellectual, cognitive processing and academic achievement measures which are most effective for identification.
Classroom accommodations, comorbidities, and how to support youth struggling with these learning issues.
