His latest novel, THIS NEW DARK (Belle Point Press), is a genre-bending thriller set against the evocative backdrop of the hills of Eastern Oklahoma.Dearinger, whose work spans fiction, nonfiction, and poetry, has been featured in publications including Bayou, Electric Literature, The Southampton Review, Short Story American and Heavy Feather Review. In addition, he serves as Chief Editor for both Emerald City, a quarterly online fiction magazine, and StoryBottle Co., an online and print magazine featuring the best in genre writing. He is a professor of creative writing and literature at Pittsburg State University. Dearinger is a Stillwater High School graduate, returning to his hometown for this special event.
