On May 9 at Heyday, we host a personal favourite of ours in the attic, Trance Mums, joined by a range of local selectors including T.M.I.
Few artists are bringing trance back into clubs right now with as much personality as Trance Mums. Their sets are high-energy and full of euphoric synths, ‘90s rave nostalgia, and harder-edged basslines — pulling from names like ATB, Push and Safri Duo without feeling stuck in the past.
Split between Denmark and Australia, the duo blend their backgrounds into something that lands both playful and effective on the floor. Appearances at Teletech Festival, Teletech Berlin, XXL Malta, Mondo Disko, and Listen Out — alongside regular sets at Need2Freak — have cemented their place in the current trance resurgence.
With releases across Polyamor, Need2Freak Records, and their own Are We Having Fun Yet imprint, they’ve picked up support from artists like Tiësto, Boys Noize, Anetha, SPFDJ, Trym and Hannah Laing.
