About this Event
The Re-wear match is organised by the Human Rights in Fashion Centre (HRFC), a London-based not-for-profit organisation that exists to expose human rights violations in the fashion and defend the rights of garment workers. We activate sustainable and ethical practices in the fashion industry as a catalyst to solve climate and environmental issues.
OBJECTIVES
• Raise awareness about the impact of fast fashion on the environment/climate.
• Encourage people to re-wear, re-use and repurpose their clothes to reduce waste and minimise its negative environment and social impact
• Highlight rights-based ethical and sustainable practices in Fashion.
• Bring Awareness to human rights violations in the fashion industry (models rights, child labor, gender based discrimination, unfair pay, indecent working conditions, modern slavery, garment workers violations, inhumane treatment, sexual violence, no pay).
• Decry garment workers rights violations by the fast fashion industry.
• Promote sustainability and sustainable fashion.

Participants will be provided with branded t-shirts, placards and light refreshments. Participants can also bring their branded materials and placards with messages within the themes of the march. Train/bus travel money compensation available to be claimed after the march.
