This is your chance to witness the collaboration of two Chicanx LA artists, Marisela Norte and Will Loya, at Avenue 50 Studio, Inc.
We are proud to present the closing reception for: “Will Loya: Re-emerging Spirits - A Retrospective of Drawings and Paintings”. Featuring a spoken word performance by legendary Chicana poet Marisela Norte and music by Will Loya and friends.
In the late-1980s Will and Marisela recorded two CDs of poetry and percussion and toured California doing spoken word performances. Their collaborative performance on Oct 4th, will be in the spirit of resiliance and celebration of friendships.
