Join us to develop some amazing moving water poling skills in the Vancouver region. The primary course conductor is Leonard Thor. Poling Instructor candidates Keiran Rankin, Lance Castonguay, and Alastair Dundas will alos be teaching. We have poles to lend. You should have a tripping canoe (preferably Roylex of T-formex) with end floatation and all the normal kit for moving water: PFD, Helmet, Drysuit or wetsuit, bailer, throwbag, painters, spare paddle, etc. It is recomended that you have solo or tandem basic Moving Water training as a prerequisite or suitable similar experience.
- Friday is a flatwater poling session at 5pm location TBD. $50
- Saturday in an Basic Moving Water Poling Course. (Mostly class 1) $100 Location TBD - Likely Seymour or Cheakamus Rivers.
Sunday is an Advanced Moving Water Poling Course (Up to class 2) $100 Location TBD - Likely Seymour or Cheakamus Rivers.
