Do you like to Camp? Do you like to show off your amazing scale trucks and maybe even have them judged for some prizes and bragging rights? How about trailing around the amazing Blackfoot RC Park with old friends and new on a self guided trail run or two (or three)? How about driving your trucks around the park at night? You might want to join in some fun competitions or maybe you mostly look forward to hanging out around the group pit fire with your rc brothers and sisters? Whatever suits you most, it's bound to be found at this event.
This event is open to anyone with an electric rc. We have race tracks you can play on so its not just crawlers. Any scale is welcome too. Just no gas trucks. This is a sponsored event and family oriented. We ask that everyone is on their best behaviour.
All events go ahead rain or shine. The terrain is mostly on rocky, uneven ground and possibly slippery rocks. Water & mud may also be present so please dress according to the weather.
This is the 2nd year for Camp & Crawl AB and is not affiliated with the Camp & Crawl BC event although I have taken inspiration for the name they coined long before me. They run a great event so you should try and get to one and support them also. This year, C&CAB will take place at the Blackfoot RC Park located at the Wild Rose Motocross park in Calgary. I will place a map and details to get to the location in the comments section.
We have plenty of parking and a great deal of camping space on site. If camping isn't your thing but a hotel is, there is the Blackfoot Hotel just a few blocks away... maybe 15 minutes walking distance approximately.
The property requires a $10 gate entry fee for participants and $5 for spectators. This will be for the entire event. If you have registered, you will get a fancy bracelet to wear for the weekend and that will allow you to leave and re-enter the park all weekend long. We do have to work within the rules of the Wild Rose Motocross park as it's their property we are located on. The gate hours are as follows:
Friday: 2:00PM – 9pm
Weekends and Holidays: 10:00AM – 6:00PM
If you need to leave the park and return when the park is closed... you can exit via the main gate as it is sensor triggered but to re-enter you will need my assistance to open the back gate and let you in. Discuss the details of your leaving with me (Scotty) so we can sort it out.
Camping is $20 per night for you and one adult guest. Each additional adult is $10 per night. Youths/children 16 and under are free for the weekend to camp (but gate fee's still apply).
The event cost is $50 to participate in events for the weekend and those who are participating will get a different color wrist band so that you can be distinguished from those not participating.
I'm sorry but there will be no refunds if you have paid and cannot attend for any reason.
