About this Event
Join the ladies of Sanguine and Pearls Virtual Alumni Chapter of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority on this special day of service!!!
This benefit event is being hosted in honor of Renee Bennett-Bolden, who joined Gamma Sigma Sigma in 1999 as a chartering member of Zeta Upsilon (The Ohio State University) and later helped colonize our first virtual chapter, Sanguine and Pearls VAC in 2020. Although receiving support services from My Sister's Keeper Cleveland, Renee lost her battle to ovarian cancer on September 25, 2020.
Our chapter has since created a scholarship in her honor-the RBB Memorial Scholarship Fund is awarded to a deserving young female adult who is either a cancer survivor or has been significantly impacted by the cancer diagnosis & experience of at least one parent/guardian. The applicant must be degree seeking at an accredited institution, demonstrate a financial need and complete an application form of request. This is open to U.S citizens 17-26 years of age with an award amount of up to $2,500.
Please join us in our fundraising efforts by making a donation to the fund or attending this first fundraiser being held at the Dawn Event Center in Atlanta, GA on 7/22/22 from 9pm-12am. Please come dressed to impress-attire is semi-formal (NO JEANS). For members of GSS-please note that individual contributions to the fund are eligible for service credit as per our National Service Hour Standardization (verification can be provided for others who may need it as well).
