Celebrate creativity and culture this fall! Tweens ages 11–14 are invited to the Elgin Recreation Center on October 29th from 6PM to 8PM to make their own vibrant papel picado, traditional Mexican paper banners full of colorful cut-out designs. Learn fun folding and cutting techniques as you craft festive decorations perfect for Día de los Muertos or any celebration. This hands-on workshop is a great way to explore art, culture, and creativity all while making something beautiful to take home. All materials are provided, come ready to create and have fun!
