TCM is volunteer event dedicated to clearing hazardous trees and brush and assisting with beautification around the Ranch to keep our area Firewise safe! The Ranch has been participating in TCM since 2007, as a fire at a neighbor’s ranch the year prior got us thinking about fire dangers and how we could take preventative action. Through working with the Texas Forest Service, we became one of only 94 Firewise communities in Texas. We’ve created a “defensible space” around the residential areas of the Ranch and are continually working to manage the upkeep.
