On May 23, riders from across Northern Indiana will gather not simply for a ride, but for something far more meaningful. The Raymond Hopkins Memorial Ride is a day dedicated to honoring the life, legacy, and values of a man whose impact continues to be felt by those who knew him and by the community that surrounds him.
More than just a motorcycle ride, this event carries a purpose. Proceeds from the event support the Raymond Hopkins Memorial Tradecraft Scholarship Fund as well as BVNI Charities, helping provide opportunities and assistance to others while continuing the spirit of generosity Raymond believed in.
Raymond Hopkins was a man who believed in the importance of brotherhood, service, and supporting others. Those who shared time with him remember his character, his loyalty, and the way he carried himself with quiet strength and integrity. The memorial ride bearing his name exists to celebrate that legacy and to ensure that the principles he lived by continue to make a difference. He also LOVED to ride, so lets ride for him!
This year’s ride will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, beginning and ending at the Hobart Moose Lodge, 143 South Hobart Road in Hobart, Indiana. Registration begins at 10:00 a.m., with riders departing together at 11:00 a.m. for a scenic two-hour ride that includes four regroup stops, giving participants time to connect, reflect, and ride together in the spirit of community.
The ride will conclude back at the Moose Lodge as part of the BVNI Summer Kickoff BBQ, where riders, families, and supporters can gather to share stories, enjoy good food, and continue celebrating the life of Raymond Hopkins.
Participation in the ride is $20 for riders and $10 for passengers, and every mile traveled that day represents a tribute to a life that mattered deeply to so many.
For those who knew Raymond, the ride is a chance to honor his memory. For those who did not, it is an opportunity to stand alongside a community that values loyalty, service, and remembrance.
On May 23, engines will start, riders will gather, and a community will once again come together to celebrate a legacy that continues to ride on.
