Ray Nayler presents Palaces of the Crow
In conversation with Sam J. Miller
Hugo and Locus Award-winning author Ray Nayler presents his new speculative novel of the recent past, Palaces of the Crow. In Nayler’s widely acclaimed cybernetic thriller The Mountain in the Sea, the discovery of a highly evolved octopus colony with its own language and culture sets off a high stakes global competition to dominate the future. Now, his eagerly awaited new novel Palaces of the Crow is also a story of first contact with an unusual animal population—here, a flock of highly intelligent crows in a remote Lithuanian forest. But rather than a vision of a fantastical future, Palaces of the Crow is something more unusual, a speculative novel of the recent past. Local award-winning author Sam J. Miller (Red Star Hustle and The Art of Starving) joins Nayler for a reading and discussion, before an audience Q&A and signing.
