Join me for a lovely hike in the neighbourhoods of Lorne Park and Port Credit in Mississauga. This hike features stunning views of marshlands with lots of nature and wildlife, a quiet and secluded section of beach at Lake Ontario, and beautiful homes along affluent suburban streets. This hike is roughly 8 kms in length and relatively easy to moderate. All ages and abilities welcome, including pets. People using assisted mobility devices may find some parts of the terrain challenging or inaccessible, thus, use your discretion. It should take us around 2-2.5 hrs to complete the hike. Afterwards, there is an optional stop at Back Road Coffee Roasters, a local hidden gem of a café that attracts large numbers of locals and cyclists due to their high quality, great tasting coffee and treats. (Spoiler, this is my favourite coffee spot in Mississauga.) Café address: 133 Queen St E, Mississauga, ON L5G 1N1 https://maps.app.goo.gl/NpwQH9o6bjiaSWQs9
Parking spaces are limited, thus carpooling is recommended. Given the popularity of the café, availability of parking and seating cannot be guaranteed. We may find ourselves having to stand in or outdoors to enjoy of coffee and treats.
