Mae Ras Rhys a Meinir yn ôl!Bydd y ras yn cael ei chynnal eleni o dan faner Cymdeithas Rhedwyr Mynydd Cymru ac yn rhan o ddigwyddiad agor y llwybrau newydd yn Nant Gwrtheyrn, Mae hon yn ras 6 milltir gyda 1565 troedfedd o ddringo. Er fod llawer o ddringo am y 3 milltir gyntaf, ar y cyfan nid yw'n dirwedd technegol ac felly rydym yn gwahodd rhedwyr sy'n newydd i redeg mynydd. Gallwn drefnu amser cychwyn buan os oes digon o ddiddordeb. Byddwn yn trefnu recces dros yr wythnosau nesaf - croeso i bawb!

Ras Rhys and Meinir is back!
The race will be held this year under the banner of the Welsh Fell Runners Association (WFRA) and is part of a wider event of opening the new paths at Nant Gwrtheyrn, This is a 6 mile race with 1565 feet of climbing. Although there is a lot of climbing for the first 3 miles, it is generally not technical terrain and therefore we invite runners who are new to mountain running. We can arrange an early start if there's enough interest. We will be organizing recces over the next few weeks - everyone is welcome.
*Note, unlike previous years, the race will climb the new routes from the Nant and go to the summit of Garn Fôr (Mynydd Trefor/Mynydd Gwaith) rather than just to the top of the steps.
It will soon be possible to register online via the Fabian4 website.
Registration time: 08:30 - 09:40 at Nant Gwrtheyrn
Prize-giving: Around 12:00
£10 for WFRA members if registering online.
£12 for other runners.
It is possible to register on the day but we would appreciate and encourage you to register in advance.
Online registration closes 10/4/2026.

Free parking.
Hot drink and cake available at the end.
Caffi Meinir is open from 10:00 – 16:00.
The race is part of a wider event of opening the new paths and the outdoor classroom 'Plas Heulwen' - the project was funded through the TWIG project and the National Lottery Fund.
