Birds of Europe

In the summer of 2023, long time RAS members, Lou and Naseem Reza celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary by taking their children, Nina and Kevin and Granddaughter Kaylyn to Europe. The primary purpose of the trip was to see and photograph Grand Castles and Gothic Cathedrals and they did that in several countries. However in Portugal, Naseem and son Kevin managed to sneak away for a half day of birding with a professional guide, Bernardo Barretto from Birds and Nature Tours - http://www.birds.pt/ This presentation has images mostly from the Tagus River Estuary that is only 20 minutes from Lisbon by car and in 4 1/2 hours provided Naseem with 51 life birds . Other countries including Germany, Denmark and Iceland (from an earlier trip) also had some interesting birds that will be shown.

Naseem Reza
In 1976 Naseem with his wife Lou and infant daughter Nina, left the windy and cold city of Chicago to live in Richmond, VA but not without a detour to Montreal to take in the Summer Olympic Games. After a short stint with the City of Richmond, Naseem joined the Commonwealth of Virginia to work in various Departments in the Information Technology field. After retiring from his day job in 2004, Naseem joined the Richmond Audubon Society where he served on the RAS Board in several capacities including the Thrasher Newsletter Editor. His earlier presentations to RAS members showed bird images from Mexico, Hawaii, Iceland and Ecuador.
