Saidi workshop Join me for a fun Saidi workshop where we will explore different styles of Saidi dance with or without the assaya and maybe a tiny bit of Gawazee thrown in. Why Gawazee in a Saidi dance workshop ? Come and find out.
Like all my workshops I will cover a little of the history and how women came to be dancing Raqs Assaya on the stage. After all you can’t give the dance some authenticity without knowledge.
This dance style can be a little energetic, some level of fitness is needed, you also need to know how to swing the Assaya already.
