Founded in Deerfeild Beach 2010
Fifteen years ago, the volleyball world lost one of its brightest lights — Ranse Jones. Known for his dedication to growing the game and his passion for teaching anyone who wanted to learn, Ranse was more than a pro beach volleyball player; he was a mentor, a friend, and a force for community.
In 2010, Ranse suffered a severe aneurysm on the court. For six months, the volleyball community rallied around him, raising money and hope as his mother, Sherry Jones, fought for her son’s recovery. When Ranse passed on November 8, 2010, the hole he left in our hearts was immense — but so was the drive to continue his mission.
Now, in the 15th year of this iconic tournament, we’re proud to not only honor Ranse’s memory but also raise funds and awareness for stroke education and prevention through Broward Health North’s Stroke Unit.
This event is more than volleyball — it’s about community, legacy, and making a difference.

🍾 FRIDAY — WELCOME PARTY
• Join us for pickup and free classes in the mid afternoon
• Grab Hat Draw Party 7PM
🏆 SATURDAY — BIG MONEY GRAB HAT
• Mixed-level Grab Hat (King of the Beach format)
• Men’s & Women’s 2’s: A, AA, AAA, Open
• $1,500 in total prizes
• Early registration includes a Lost Traveler event T-shirt
BEGINNER & BB 4’S DIVISIONS
• More of a beginner? No problem.
• Beginner and BB 4’s events running all day Saturday
💰SUNDAY — BIG MONEY COED 4’S
• $1,600 in total prizes for Open division
• Pool play + single elimination playoffs
• At least 1 woman per team
• Early registration includes a Lost Traveler event T-shirt
