Rank and File Film Club is hosting a very special screening of a new short documentary about the Black Panthers' time in Algeria.
In the early 1970s, the Black Panther Party established an international section in Algiers, turning it into a hub for revolutionary exile. This captivating documentary explores the links between the Black American struggle and the Algerian Revolution, highlighting the pivotal role of Algiers in liberation movements worldwide, an influence that earned it the nickname "Mecca of Revolutions."
We will be Zooming with director Mohamed Benloulou and Dr Samir Meghelli from the Smithsonian Museum, who contributed to the documentary.
We hope you will join us!
