About this Event
This one day RSO class teaches the knowledge, skills, and attitude essential to organizing, conducting, and supervising safe shooting activities and range operations. Certification awarded after successful completion of the training on the day.
Range Safety Officer candidates will learn roles and responsibilities of an RSO; Range Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); range inspection; range rules; range briefings; emergency procedures; and firearm stoppages and malfunctions.
(RSO) course involves no live fire; you will learn gun safety, handling, and how to react to malfunctions of various rifles, pistols, shotguns, air guns, and muzzle loading guns. You will learn how to inspect, open, and safely operate indoor and outdoor ranges.
