About this Event
R&B Yoga is more than just a class. It is a practice and a community space. Rooted in creating healing centered spaces for Black and Brown folks, this 90 minute experience invites you to flow, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.
Through a mix of asana (movement), pranayama (breathwork), and meditation, we will explore the balance of grounding and freedom in the body. The playlist features all genres of R&B: smooth, upbeat, soulful, and everything in between, while keeping the energy intentional. Explicit or unencouraging lyrics will not be included. There will also be intentional moments of silence for stillness and presence.
This is a mixed level class, which means whether you are brand new to yoga or have years of experience, you are welcome here. Options and modifications will be offered throughout so you can move in a way that supports you.
What to Bring:
- Yoga mat (extras will be available if needed)
- Towel and water
- Anything else that makes your practice feel good (journal, blanket, etc.)
✨ We will also provide mats, blocks, and bolsters for extra support.
Come as you are. Leave with your spirit lifted.
