Following a surprise 3 song set this past February as part of a Valentine vernissage at BBAM! Gallery, Ralph Alfonso and musical friends Steven Lee Rachel and Camila En Blanco got such a warm reception that we are happy to announce their return with a full set of beatnik-inspired jazz and blues.
Ralph first came to prominence in the mid-90s with his Coffee Jazz & Poetry fanzine that quickly evolved into a band, CDS, and touring across Canada with visits to the UK, USA, France and Italy added into the mix.
Ralph stopped performing many years ago to concentrate on BBAM! Gallery but this year he decided to reach out to his friend Steven Lee Rachel to see if he'd be interested in doing music together. He was, and enlisted his wife Camila En Blanco to join this new musical adventure.
The evening will start with a duo set by Steven and Camila, followed by a RALPH trio set inspired by Jack Kerouac, 50s jazz, blues, and love.
