Rally to defend wild camping on Dartmoor at the Supreme Court
Come join us outside The Supreme Court in London on the 8th October for a rally to defend our right to wild camp on Dartmoor!
For over a century there has existed a historic custom of wild camping on Dartmoor - cemented as a legal right in 1985. Now Alexander Darwall is taking his case back to the highest court in the land to dispute the High Court of Appeal's ruling last July.
We will not stand by as a wealthy hedge fund manager strips us of our beloved right to nights under the stars. Such rights are hard won and fragile -that's why, alongside our friends Right to Roam and Dartmoor Preservation Association we will hold a rally outside the Supreme Court, while inside Dartmoor National Park Authority and Open Spaces Society mount a legal defence of our right to sleep under Dartmoor's stars.
Join us outside the Supreme Court on the 8th October at 11am, or - if you can't get to London - on Dartmoor on Sunday 6th October (early evening).
