At Raise a Glass, discover a range of exceptionally delicious summer wines in a relaxed and fun space whilst raising money to support our wellbeing projects for women in Southwark.
Our menu includes four top-quality wines celebrating sustainabilty and women-makers. Expect everything from eco- and budget-friendly wines, which are ideal for elevating your summer BBQ's, to our prestigous bottled wines made by women-makers and women of colour, celebrating their stories and their resiliance in breaking down barriers and offering fresh approaches in a typically white, male-dominated industry.
As well as top quality wines, we promise a top quality, inclusive experience. This is not your average wine tasting... there'll be no boring lectures, no slide shows, no stuffy rooms, and absolutely NO snootiness. Whether this is your first-ever wine tasting or you're a seasoned pro, you're welcome here. You'll be guided by our experienced and friendly hosts Kat (WSET Level 3 certified) and Renée (Founder of Community Wine) who'll bring the energy and fun, as well as insightful stories and notes for each glass!
Our Raise a Glass event is raising funds for providing space and activities for and co-created by women in Southwark to explore and improve their physcial and mental wellbeing, learn and share new skills, and find community. This event is being match funded, meaning any donations you make will be doubled - that's double the potential and double the impact, at no extra cost to you.

About the hosts
Kat Brown. A seasoned professional in the wine industry with a rich history working at leading UK wine distributor Bancroft Wines, Kat has achieved her WSET Level 3 and is on her way to her WSET Diploma. She's passionate about all things wine, hospitality, and education, particularly in the areas of organic farming and sustainability, as well as exploring esoteric regions and styles. Community Wine. Run by Renée Mallon, Community Wine is a charitable wine tasting club designed for wine enthusiasts. It brings people together in a friendly, informal setting to savour delicious wines, meet like-minded people and have fun. The Bridge Social. Our non-profit café is a space to connect, unwind and find community. As well as serving delicious coffee, smoothies, breakfast, and lunch to the lovely folk of Southwark, we also use the space to run our programme of community events, supper clubs and community wellbeing projects. We also hire the space for parties, conferences, events, workshops and more – with all profits going back into to supporting our charitable work.
