Come join Rainbow History’s Volunteer working groups!
On the first Saturday of each month, RHP’s volunteers gather to share LGBTQ history, exchange status updates, and invite new volunteers to join a project. Our ongoing project teams include:
- Social Geography: Places & Spaces, Timelines, and Walking Tours (Ongoing)
- Archiving & Oral history (Ongoing)
- Events, Comms, and Fundraising (Ongoing)
In 2024-2025, we are mobilizing our work around two large initiatives:
- RHP's WorldPride 2025 Exhibit: "Pickets, Protests, and Parties: The History of Gay Pride in Washington" (June 2025)
- RHP's 25th Anniversary: "Celebrating our Community Pioneers" (November 2025)
Meeting Agenda:
- Arrival social/intros (15-20 min)
- Volunteers and team leads present on their projects and needs (30-40 min)
- Break & chat (10-15 min)
- Updates on Initiatives and how to help (20-30 min)
- Next steps (10 min)
