Raina Telgemeier and Scott McCloud will speak about their new book, The Cartoonists Club, on Thursday, April 17th at 6:00pm, at Central Presbyterian Church (1660 Sherman St, Denver, CO 80203).
About the Book:
Makayla is bursting with ideas but doesn't know how to make them into a story. Howard loves to draw, but he struggles to come up with ideas and his dad thinks comics are a waste of time. Lynda constantly draws in her sketchbook but keeps focusing on what she feels are mistakes, and Art simply loves being creative and is excited to try something new. They come together to form The Cartoonists Club, where kids can learn about making comics and use their creativity and imagination for their own storytelling adventures!

*There are two types of tickets available for this event:
--Adult Entry Plus Book: $15 (plus a tax and a small processing fee) This ticket is for one adult entry to the event, plus a paperback copy of The Cartoonists Club with an exclusive pre-signed bookplate. You will receive your copy of the book at the event.
--Adult + Child Entry Plus Book: $20 (plus tax and a small processing fee). This ticket is for one adult and one child entry to the event, plus a paperback copy of The Cartoonists Club with an exclusive pre-signed bookplate. You will receive your copy of the book at the event.
*This event will be at Central Presbyterian Church (1660 Sherman St, Denver, CO 80203).
*The 45 minute show will be followed by a photo opportunity with the authors in front of a special free-standing step and repeat that puts both the creators and attendees into a comic setting as if it were taken from a page within the book.
*There will not be a signing line at this event.
