About this Event
Protect your property, boost your garden’s beauty, and improve local water quality! Join Conservation Halton to learn practical, eco-friendly solutions like rain gardens, permeable driveways, and other low-impact landscaping techniques. See inspiring local projects, discover how to design, implement, and maintain your own, and learn about funding opportunities to make it happen at home.
Christine brings a mix of experience in wildlife biology, conservation, geography, and community engagement to her role as Restoration Outreach and Engagement Technical Lead at Conservation Halton. In her role, Christine visits properties, offers practical stewardship advice, and manages Conservation Halton’s Landowner Grant Program to help our community implement stewardship and restoration projects. She’s passionate about protecting local ecosystems and being a bridge connecting people with nature.
"Zoë Lawrence has been with Conservation Halton’s Restoration Team for a year and a half, first as a Field Assistant and now as the Outreach and Engagement Technician. She loves to chat with residents and community members about their stewardship dreams and favourite pastry spots! With a love for the outdoors since she was young, caring for the environment was a natural career path. Advocating for the beauty and benefits of native plants, the reduction of stormwater runoff and green infrastructure is her day to day, both at work and beyond. Outside of work she loves to camp, canoe, highland dance and read; recommendations for all the above are always welcome!
