Ragtime Day NOLA presents Ragtime Day @ Longue Vue House and Gardens! A very special afternoon of music and dancing at one of the most beautiful locations in New Orleans.
Come hear a very special concert by Givonna Joseph's Opera Creole, excerpts of the 1911 opera by Scott Joplin, Treemonisha!
Also presenting a rare appearance by the legendary Louisiana Repertory Jazz Ensemble, dance music heard in early 1920's New Orleans in the original arrangements.
A special entre acte, enjoy the classic ragtime interpretations of the Silver Swan Ragtime Quartet, while picnicking on the great lawn, touring the beautiful house and gardens, and enjoying a complimentary glass of prosecco with each ticket. Also, the Cafe will be serving its distinctive vegan fare and special house cocktails, wine and beer.
Plus, come a little early for a dance lesson from Walter Nelson of Los Angeles! Walter is an expert at getting hesitant husbands out on the floor and having fun.
