Artistic Directors Ranee Ramaswamy and Aparna Ramaswamy are committed to preserving and carrying on the legacy of their guru, the internationally renowned Padma Bhushan Smt. Alarmél Valli, considered to be one of India’s greatest living masters. Her carefully developed signature style of Bharatanatyam is distinguished by its technical precision, grace, and subtlety of expression. The Ragamala Training Center's unique program stresses artistic excellence and a professional level of training while fostering cultural awareness, passing on this exquisite, classical tradition to the next generation of dancers to find meaning, strength, connection, empowerment, and joy.
