Raga Mala Celebrates 50 Years

Picture the year 1975. At a time when the South Asian diaspora in Canada was nowhere near where it is today, a group of people gathered in a living room and brought their passion for Indian classical art together to begin something incredible. This became later known as Raga Mala Calgary's first ever concert and featured Alberta-based artists.

Since then, for 50 years now, Raga Mala Calgary has brought the beauty and depth of Indian classical music, dance, and art to audiences across the city. Generations of artists and listeners have come together through concerts, cultural programs, and community gatherings that celebrate these rich artistic traditions.

This calls for celebration and you're invited to our golden jubilee!
