Join us for an unforgettable evening with pioneering Rae Spoon — the acclaimed Canadian musician, songwriter, and storyteller known for their unique musical travels into deeply personal and powerful performances. With haunting vocals, honest lyricism, and a genre-defying style, Rae creates a live experience that is intimate, atmospheric, and emotionally resonant.
Rae has just released their 13th studio album, Assigned Country Singer at Birth, last month. Marking a return to their roots, this album explores themes of trans identity, disability, and anti-colonialism within a country music context.
Whether you’ve followed Rae Spoon for years or are discovering their work for the first time, audiences can expect a performance that is both raw and uplifting.
Smithers Pride Society is truly thrilled to have Rae kick-off our Pride Festivities this year, with this intimate concert at Driftwood Schoolhouse.
Opening music presented by our local folk singer-songwriter, Aurora Lavender.
