The Embodied Present Process invites you to experience another way of being – one that isn’t supervised by the relentless thinking of the head, but instead eases you into the body’s wisdom and the subtle guidance that appears when you come to rest in the present.As the name states, though, TEPP is a process. Our culture has for thousands of years portrayed the head as “the divinest part of us”, as Plato put it, and the body as its “vehicle”. Our very neurology has been shaped be a culture that instructs us to put the head in charge of our lives, to seek success by out-thinking our circumstances, and to mistrust the body. There is no quick fix that enables us to undo the effects of that conditioning. It requires specifically targeted exploration, personal discovery, and a deep acceptance that subtly shifts you into new possibility.
The residential Deep Dive creates the perfect environment to support that process. The days are filled with practices and discussions.
The practices are unique – created by Philip Shepherd to help you gently encounter limitations in your body’s responsiveness and its availability to the present. Seeded in us by our culture and largely invisible, these limitations begin to disperse once they are felt and recognized, opening you to your life in a way that is both grounded and softened.
The discussions are open-ended, spurred by questions and experiences elicited by the practices, and bringing clarity to their relevance within the most ordinary events of your everyday life.
What the Deep Dive uniquely offers, then, is the support of a spacious opportunity to explore and deepen into and live with an embodied way of being in the world. We practice together, share together, eat together, and connect anew with the guidance of the natural world around us. The retreat is open to anyone who has taken a Radical Wholeness workshop or a TEPP course, or who is interested in the work. If you haven’t taken a previous course or workshop but would like to join the Deep Dive, let us know and we’d be happy to discuss the possibility with you.

June 5: afternoon session 4-6pm, dinner 6:30
June 6 - 8: sessions 10 - 5:30 pm each day
June 9: morning session, departure after lunch
