About this Event

Radical Nonfiction Book Group with Carlo
Discussing Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism: And Other Arguments for Economic Independence by Kristen R. Ghodsee

Led by former Greenlight bookseller Carlo, our Radical Nonfiction Book Group meets monthly to read and discuss nonfiction titles related to the issues of history, politics, and the promise of a better world, just around the corner!
For February, the group discusses Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism by acclaimed ethnographer Kristen R. Ghodsee. An examination of how unregulated capitalism disproportionately harms women—at work, at home, in government, and in the bedroom—Why Women Have Better Sex Under Socialism is a witty and deeply researched exploration of why socialism—when done right—can lead to economic independence, better work life balance, and yes, even better sex.
