Come join us at The Foundry for the lauch event of the Radical Film School / Equalities Work film series, as part of an evening of visual stories, people power and human rights around the subject of housing issues. The evening begins with an exhibition of the winners of the The Marylin Stafford FotoReportage Award and talk by winning photographer Jodi Windvogel at 6pm.
From 7:45, we'll be screening Myah Asha Jeffers' award winning film , and artist-filmmaker Ayo Akingbade's (Cannes, 2022) short Street 66, two films about the housing crisis. Bathsheba is a short fiction film about a grieving widow living as a precarious property guardian and facing eviction, and Ayo Akingbade's film Street 66 is a short documentary about the life of Ghanaian housing activist Dora Boatemah who fought for better housing conditions and tenants' rights to vote on the future of their own estates. The screenings will be followed by a conversation between director Jeffers and the evening's curator, artist Abel Holsborough.

The film screening tickets are on a sliding scale. Regular tickets are £10, for low-income attendees there are £5 tickets, and for people experiencing homelessness and the housing crisis, there are free tickets available.
