Emeritus Professor John Minns will provide us with a talk on racism at Manning Clark House on Sunday 10th November at 3pm. Racism is a critical element in politics around the world today. The rise of far-right parties in Europe, Trump’s anti-immigrant rants in the US, anti-refugee sentiment and hostility to non-white immigration are used by powerful political players in many countries – including Australia.
This talk surveys some of this racist revival and looks at the historic origins of racism.
John Minns is Emeritus Professor of Politics and International Relations at the ANU and is a long-term activist in the Refugee Action Campaign in Canberra.
This promises to be an informative and excellent talk so book now using the link below to avoid missing out.
